Volunteer Sign-Up

 Assistance from family members is always appreciated in putting together our production. However, to keep things running smoothly, we ask that you advise us in advance by filling out this form if you wish to volunteer. This is important so that we may properly coordinate our efforts and ensure all areas are covered.
 
Volunteers are helpful in many areas. Please check your preference below. Even if you are uncertain how you want to help, turn in this form anyway so that we may contact you.

Many parents wish to volunteer backstage during the shows. In order to do so, there are several factors you should be aware of:

–We understand that you want to be with your child during this exciting time, but space is very limited, and we cannot always
accommodate all the parents who want to come backstage. Designated volunteers will receive backstage credentials; other parents will not be allowed backstage.

–Parents who are asked to work backstage are there to help ALL the children in a particular scene, not just their own. You must be willing to work as part of a team. Backstage volunteers help with the makeup, costumes,
hair, general supervision, and clean-up of the dressing area.  Assistance is needed in other areas as well; you may be asked by the
directors to help with various jobs.

–If you commit to working backstage on a particular day and you are selected as a designated volunteer, you need to honor that commitment. We will be counting on you, and may have turned away other parents who wanted to work..

–Most important, if you ask to work backstage you must attend two training sessions to learn how to apply makeup for different scenes. You will be advised of the session dates by the parent coordinator for your scene. Generally, these sessions will be held during your child’s Saturday rehearsals. Without this training, you will not work backstage.
