For your convenience, we have compiled the following list of holidays and events to mark on your calendar. Please keep in mind that your monthly tuition is based on lessons received for an entire school year, and not the number of classes received each month. This is standard private school policy. Remember that if your child misses a class, he/she has many opportunities within the week to make up that class. Please check with your child’s teacher for the appropriate day and time. Remember, that we do not close for Teacher Work days, or Religious Holidays.
Classes Begin! August 20th, 2012
Nutcracker 2012 Audition:
Junior Audition: Saturday, August 25th, @ Thomas Armour Youth Ballet South Miami
2PM: 8-10 years (child must be 8 years by Oct.31) 3:30 PM-5PM. 10-12 years old. All students in this group must be in Elementary IV or above. Height requirement: 5’2″ and below.
Senior Audition: Sunday, August 26th @ NWSA (25 NE 2nd Street) 1PM-4PM: 13 years and up with 3 years or more of pointe.
Labor Day Holiday, Monday, September 3rd No Classes.
Thanksgiving Holiday: No Classes on Thursday, Nov. 22nd, Friday, Nov. 23rd, and Saturday, Nov. 24th.
Nutcracker Performance Dates:
Sunday, November 25th – Last rehearsal at studio
Tuesday, November 27th – Dress/Tech Rehearsal 2PM
10 AM performances: November 28th, 29th, and 30th
7PM performance: Saturday December 1st
Parent Viewing Week:
Come to your child’s class and enjoy their progress!
December 17th through December 22nd
Winter Holiday:
Last day of classes: Saturday, December 22nd. Classes resume on Monday, January 7th.
Spring Break:
No classes from Monday, March 25th through Saturday, March 30th. Classes resume on Monday, April 1st.
Thomas Armour Youth Ballet Spring Performance: 2013 Dates TBA.
In Studio Performances: Monday, May 20th through Saturday, May 25th. Come and see your child’s accomplishments for the year!
Please register your child this week for the 2013-14 school year. By registering early, you ensure your first choice of days, allowing you to plan your child’s week around the new schedule. Please see Ms. Marina.
Last day of Classes: Saturday, May 25th
Memorial Day: Monday, May 27th
Summer Workshop: Monday, June 10th through July 12th (5 weeks)
Registration for the 2013-14 school year begins on August 12th for new students. Current students should be registered by June to ensure placement. Classes resume on August 19th.
